There are several different kinds of potatoes, namely "Kerr's Pink","Aran Chiefs", "British Queens", "Irish Queens", "Champions", "Golden Wonders", "Up to Dates", and several others. Early potatoes are sprouted, that is to say, they are put in boxes until the sprouts come out before they are set.
