  1. Many years ago as a priest was coming home one night from a sick call he had to pass a bridge called Tape's Bridge. His servant boy was driving him in a pony and trap. Just as he was crossing the bridge a black dog appeared with fire flying out of his eyes.
    The priest got the whip from the boy and hit the dog with it. He disappeared on the spot and was never seen since.
