  1. Signs of rain. The sky is very dark when we are to have rain. The sun looks very pale and small. There is a ring around the moon.
The clouds are very dark and low down.
The wind is noising very much through trees and along rivers.
The wind from the west brings the most rain.
The wind from the north brings the most snow and frost.
When the cat sits with his back towards the fire and rubs his whiskers with his paw
When the soot falls down the chimney.
When the dogs start eating grass
When the swallow flies very low and the crow flies very high and falls to the ground the same as if he were shot.
When the midges are very plentiful and when pismires are along the road
When smoke turns down the chimney again
Signs of Thunder. When the weather is very warm, and when big white clouds rise up from the north, south east and west of the sky.
