  1. Signs of Death: Brown - clayey patches on the chin and fingers
    The cock - crowing at an unusual hour, especially if he crows when near you.
    A blade of grass or hay sticking out of the feathers near a hen's posterior is a sign of death of a relative
    Crickets chirping loudly are giving notice of a death.
    If you dream that a tooth is being extracted from you a near relative will die shortly.
    If you see or hear of birds tapping at the window it is a sign of death
    Butterflies seen in a house in winter are a sign of death in the family
    The corpse should be facing the east when it is laid out for the wake. Formerly the corpse was placed on a door laid on boxes or chairs in the middle of the kitchen.
    It is unlucky to open a grave on Sunday. No child should be buried in a new grave.
