- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Very carefully they took the ac from under the cart and took him into the kitchen of his little house then they took the wheels after having removed them from the cart and finally the cart itself with its sleeping burden.
Having all safely within, they put the wheels under the cart and tackled the ass to it again and so they left the house making as little noise as possible.
Meanwhile poor Paddy's brain was not idle as he had called at all the forts around, heard the good people abuse him for being drunk and finally hunt him away to his home with sharp sticks.
As morning began to break Paddy began to stretch his limbs and just wonder where he was. Gaining a little energy he opened his eyes and behold, the first thing they rested on was his smoky clothing. Taking a jump he knocked his head against the wheel o his cart which brought him fully to his senses, and he saw the position he was in and exclaimed, "I knew they would do it them little fairies, I must fall the house to get this thing out but I'll never drink a drop again,"(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
