- Lady Meelin lived in the village of Meelin. It happened one day that she was coming to Mass to Clonfert with her sister. The Church was then in Clonfert near where the Castle Mc Auliffe stood.
When they were near the Church a dark cloud came over them and Lady Meelin flew to the rock near by. The rock is still known as Meelin's rock.
Many people in the Island heard cries from the rock. She appeared to a man one day and after a few minutes she disappeared again leaving the print of her hand in the rock.
One day as Mr. Ryan was passing by the rock, he saw her sitting on the rock combing her hair. When she saw him she disappeared leaving the comb on(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
