home in the evening, her mother asked her if she was at school to-day and Mary said "no." Her mother asked her why. Mary told them all the story. The mother carried her to the doctor, and they got a special cure for her, and it was not long after when she died.
There is also another story connected with this fort. One day a girl by the name of Mary OSullivan left home to go to Mass. She decided to take a short cut to town. At 10 o'clock there was no trace of her. At last they went into this fort where the girl had to pass. There was a little stream running through the fort they looked into it but could see nothing.
The next day when they looked into the stream they saw the little girl with her hands joined holding her rosary-beads
