    There was nothing in it but cock roaches. They emptied it out, thinking there might be something better in the bottom. No, nothing, but the same old creepers, which swarmed the ground, crawled up their clothes, and annoyed them terribly. They had to go home lamenting. The spade with which they broke the crock was covered with something like gold next day.
