The storm and rain ceased at about three o'clock in the morning so they set out for home. They were not half-ways across when the storm arose again and as the priest was asleep my grandfather did not know what to do. The spray of the waves went into the boat several times and one fierce wave nearly covered the boat. The boat was tossed and turned and taken with the wind several times despite the fierce rowing done by my grandfather
