  1. One day a small boy and his mother were travelling. They travelled many miles, and the boy's mother grew very tired. The sun was very warm and the poor old woman was so weary she said to the boy "I will lie here in the shade and sleep for a while you keep guard and don't let anything near me" as she placed a stick in his hand.
The boy kept a great watch around and at long last a big fly came and sat on his mother's nose. Remembering his mother's warning the weary watcher hit a fierce blow to kill the fly, but nearly broke his mother's nose.
