  1. About three years ago a fierce thunder storm swept over the south of Ireland. It occurred in the month of December and did great damage in many places all over the country.
    A few days before the storm people knew that it was coming. They had many reasons believing so but the most important was to see the clouds rolling rapidly in the sky. In this townland great harm was done by the storm. Four cows and many hens belonging to one farmer were killed, shed were knocked and roofs taken off houses.
