    of the Auxiliaries. He was 44 years of age and was the father of three children. If there were any trenches cut in the roads the Auxiliaries would swoop down on the neighbourhood and collect the men and compel them to full them.
    When this man heard of this he was frightened of his life, but the lads around him consoled by telling him that any person who was old would not be taken out.
