room and locked the door. But in her hurry she forgot the infant that was in a cradle by the fire.
There was a big sum of money in the house and the man knew it and he was thinking of how he would get the woman out of the room so as to get the money. After a time he thought it would be a good plan to throw the child into the fire and he did. When the woman heard the infant crying she knew what he had done, and she began to roar as loud as she could for help.
