  1. A girl by the name of Mary Kenny lived in Roxboro. She was milking the cows one night in the cow house when a black hand came in through the door and she nearly died she turned black.
    When the man did not bring the girl the fairies fought a battle in Kennys field and it was covered with blood in the morning. It happed happened that the other fairies won and the brought the girl out of the bed a few nights after. and left [a] back a sick one. A tall man used to come to the window every night talking to her. A man by the name of Micheal McDermot seen them and the tall man went off in a ball of fire. The girl would not eat anything and when
