    mourned him, and showed him all the respect she could. She felt very badly over her dear man. She thought she could never get on without him, but rather quickly it seems she made up her mind and married her dead husband's brother. All went well and happy for a short while after the second marriage.
    This night however, they were in bed and everything was very quiet, they heard a strange knock on the door. Nobody answered the door, so Paddy thought Mary might be asleep, so he would not disturb her. He went back to the cow shed and slept there.
    Next morning was Sunday. When Paddie stirred himself up he saw the people going to Mass. Paddy hurried off with and after the crowd. When the neighbours saw Paddy whom they thought they had buried some weeks before, they were very much afraid, as they thought it was his ghost, so they ran as fast as they could. When Paddy saw the crowd running he ran too.
    Every Sunday morning the people lined up outside the chapel, but this morning
