    One night a man was going home on horseback. When he came to a cross road, he saw a funeral coming towards him. When it came up lear him, he and his horse were lifted up over the ditch, till it went by. When it went by they were lifted back on the road again. The man on the horse did not know who the dead person was.
    A Ghost Story.
    One winter's night two men were out late, they were in a donkey's cart. It was about twelve o'clock and it was very dark. When they came to a certain part of the road a figure of a little woman came out of the ditch, she had a red coat and a bonnet on her a she was in her bare feet. She walked beside the car for about a mile and then she disappeared. Only one man saw her, and that man never was out late at night again.
