  1. Ring worm. Get your mother to look through her marriage ring, following the ring taken by the worm; if you do this for three days it will disappear.
    A cure for corn. An ivy leaf steeped in vinegar and put to a corn for three nights in succession will cure a corn.
    Sty. If you get a sty in your eye, look through your mother's marriage ring and make the sign of the Cross three times over the sty with the ring and the sty will get better.
