Basket-making was carried on by a family named Quins of Factory Lane. One of the decendants is still going about the town. He is an exwar man and is shell-shock, he still makes baskets.
Wheel-making was carried on by a family named Lawlers in Bridge Street and is still progressing there by decendants.
Nail-making was also carried on in Bridge Street by a man named Lyons, and was carried on there till about a year ago when the last of the decendants died.(continues on next page)
