    and hot drinks but it is now realised that the best cure of all is to get them out.
    For erysipllas flour was heated on the griddle and then it was put on it with a a bandage.
    For a pain in the head strong tea was made and held to the nose and the steam of it readied the nostrils and after this it was drank.
    For a sprained ankle or foot a coimfirry leaf was cut up and boiled and then the ankle was stuped with it. For a wart the milk of a dandelon was rubbed on it, and sometimes they used rub Holy Water on it for three mornings saying each time ''In the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Ghost amen.''
