  1. Be it known I, Bob Gordon,
    In lieu of a Garden,
    Has taken the herding of all
    Breakey's Land.
    Neither horse, mule, or ass, I'll let
    taste of his grass,
    Not a goat shall trespass from the
    road to the strand.
    To fowl off the lake, widgeon, wild duck
    or drake
    I'll let lay beak to a grain of his corn
    All the birds of the air, crow, magpie and stare
    And rabbit and hare I will fright with my horse.
    Neither beggars nor bitches, light fairies or witches
    I will let near his ditches to pluck
    even a briar
    And I'll rise with daylight to keep
