  1. Wednesday:- The "Cross Day of the week". Very unlucky to get married on this day.
    Very few get married on Monday.
    Thursday is the favourite day. Tuesday next then Sunday.
    When getting married if the bride rises first to her feet as they kneel before the altar she will rule the house. Man tries to prevent this.
    A story is told of a groom who put his knee on brides frock to prevent her rising. She was so determined that she almost tore her frock and did manage to get up first.
