Firoda (Fíoghair Ua Duach), is a townland...

    (continued from previous page)
Kiltown:- As you go from Firoda towards Castlecomer town the townland lies between Glenmagoo on the right and Skehana on the left. Tradition has it that there was once a Church there, but we are unable to discover any remains of it, nor does anybody know where it is supposed to have stood.
Glenmagoo:- 'The glen of the hounds' according to Mr. A. Coady, one of my best authorities. he heard it very many years ago. It is now known as Lower Firoda.
