- No. 27Just about 200 yards beyond the Deer-Park Castlecomer there is a bridge and in that very spot some of the men of the rebellion of 1798 fought. There was a fierce battle fought and a lot of the men of 1798 were killed. In the field at the far side there are a few bushes grown up, and there are two or three head stones in the middle of the bushes.
- No 27In Thomas Coady's field in Skehana there is a mass bush and under it is a pit where mass was said. The tree is very high and it stands alone. To look at if from the side it is like a cross. In the penal days mass was said there.
