  2. Local Ruins
    There is in the parish of Saint Mary's a ruined Abbey called Saint Francis Abbey. It is said to have been built by the Franciscans Fathers. The local tradition has it that the Holy Fathers while praying there were ambushed and put to death by nonblievers of the Catholic Faith. The Abbey was then felled and still remains so.
