  1. Old Castles
    There is a beautiful old fortress convenient to the village of Grange about three miles from the city. A winding passage of about a mile leads to a farm-yard which surrounds it. The lower floor is entered be a second stone arched door and a stone window shows a dim light with-in. This is where the wine-seller was, well protected by strong walls of ample thickness. In the second floor there is a stone stair-case which leads to the dormitories that were airy and well ventilated. On the third floor is the state room furnished with stone mantlepieces and chimneys.
