    he would find his father. She told him the reason he was taken away, was that he cut down the "sceach" or whitethorn trees which she and the fairies danced around each night. Now he had been released and was working with the farmers. She vanished saying "he harmed us we harmed him".
    When the father came back, the trees grew up again and they never again interfered with the rath.
    Every night the fairies are said to go for a walk from the rath across the bye-road to the Granges Road
