  1. About a quarter of a mile to the South of Freshford, there is a large spring babbling from the earth. It is dedicated to the Patron Saint of Freshford and called Tobar Laichtin but it is no longer regarded as a holy well. About fifty years ago old people were in the habit of pre-forming the stations of the Cross at it on a Saturday morning, but the Bishop of Ossary abolished all those customs.
