  1. This townland adjacent to Shanbo on the southern side, is, however, in the Glenmore parish. The Forrestalls were an Anglo-Norman family and resided in the neighbourhood from early Norman times.
    Under Cromwell, James Forstall [Forrestall?], with Thomas Den of Ballygurrim forfeited and was transplanted to Connaught. The Forrestall name is still well represented in the Glenmore and Rosbercon Parishes.
