    the following day with the police. The next day the whole countryside came to the place armed with scythes, pitch forks, sticks etc. but the bailiffs never put in an appearance and Mrs Doolan was not trubled again.
    In fact, later, the Doolans and the Boyds became good friends and the Widows son was employed by Thomas Boyd. The descendants of the family are now 'important' people in the Glenmore parish.
