  1. Patron Saint. One of the many saints named Fintan was patron of Shanbogh (Father Corrigan.) None of the local inhabitants seems to know any details of this St. Fintan. They seem to take for granted that their St. Fintan was the only Fintan.

    According to Mrs green Father Corrigan's information re St Fintan's well is not quite correct. He definitely places it a few fields west of the old church
