  1. Ned the Cripple.
There is a valley between two mountains
The sweetest fountain I ever saw
And I'm informed by the neighbours around here
They call this place "Sweet Ballinlaw".
There the cuckoo sings in the month of April
The fox and eagle are in the wood
And young men boating in every season,
Now who can say but the place is good.
    John Walsh,
    Kilmurray (about 70)
