  1. Care of the Feet
In olden days people wore no boots or shoes in Summer or Winter. The people used to work on the bog in their bare feet. Later on People wore boots to towns or on certain occasions, But they used to work bare-footed. The children locally go in their bare feet during the Summer. Boots and shoes are worn now, they are made of tanned leather. The boots are made in this district. They are made in Dundalk. There is one cobler in this Parish - Robert Nixon, Robertstown.
