    Nestled in the sunny hills of Kerry
    My heart for aye will roam.

    Its hawthorn trees - beautiful
    And flower'd meadows everywhere
    That fill the breeze, on a spring May morn
    With a scent, both sweet and rare.

    (III)
    The golden furze on the Cnoc hard by
    And the heather fresh and fair
    Make a home for the brown grouse,
    The rabbit and the hare.

    (IV)
    The McGillicuddy Mountains
    Carn Tuathal and the Reeks
    Stand by like watching sentinels
    With fog-plumes on their peaks..

    The calm sequestered lakes of Cúm Caelí
    Where oft I cast a fly
    The Gaidach and the Caol Dubh
    That run on merrily by
