    The first row now advances singing the answer to their question.
    "We'll have - - (the name of one of the players in the opposite row) for nuts in May.
    Nuts in May, Nuts in May.
    Well have - - for nuts in May,
    On a cold and frosty morning."
    The second row now advances singing the question.
    "Who will you have to take her away?
    Take her away, take her away,
    Who will you have to take her away?
    On a cold and frosty morning."
    The first row answers them by singing.
    "We'll have - - (the name of a player on their own side) for nuts in May, Nuts in May Nuts in May.
    The two players chosen come into the middle and taking hands each tries to pull the other to his side.
    The winning side starts off again and the game is played and re-played.
