   Lodge" is situated in Keenogue along the river Fane. It is covered with big thick stones one on top of the other everywhere through the field. There are no inscriptions on them. There are a few more important in Miskish More and Miskish Beg. They have three important stones to their credit. There is one in John Plunketts field near the river. There is a man and a woman buried in it. The grave is under a little lone bush. There is another in his field. It is not known who is buried in it but there is trace of Irish writings on red stones that are over it. Men came from Dublin to find out if they could make out the writing with spy glasses but it failed. In Maguires there is a very important rock. It is called the Mass Rock because long ago the priests said Mass in it. There were a couple of men killed and beheaded and buried under the rock. Their blood is still traced on the stones where they were slaughtered. There are a few forts in Inniskeen. There is one behind Inniskeen Chapel up on a big mount and one in Miskish where there are fairy pipes to be found and music played amongst the trees. There are a good lot of bushes in the district. They are called lone bushes because nobody ever interferes with them. They say they belong to the fairies. Long ago any house that was knocked down by the soldiers there grew a big lone bush up in the centre of it. About a hundred years ago a woman went out to saw sticks off the lone bushes for fire wood and something shouted at her and she ran and fell and got a thorn in her hand. When she went home the hand fell rotten off
