    it is going to rain. Goats and sheep are always shouting and bleating with it is going to rain. Some wells and bogs almost go dry when it is going to rain.
    When the wind blows from the North it is a sign of snow. When it blows from the south it is a sign of rain. When the wind blows from the east it is a sign of dry weather. When the wind blows from the west it is sign of misty weather. When the curlews and crows are cawing it is a sign of rain When the fire smokes and soot falls from the chimney it is also a sign of rain. When the cat sits with his paw washing his face it is a sign of rain. When he tears timber with his claws is is a sign of storm. When floors are damp it is another sign of rain
