    Whooping cough.
    One is to get three pieces of food from two people married of the same name. The blessed thistle boiled and to drink it's juices is another cure for the Whooping cough.
    Swelling.
    Chicken weed is a plant that grows in the Summer months. It is very east to find it among turnip drills. This weed is a pale green colour and spreads over the ground like ivy.
    Dirty mouth.
    A cure for the dirty mouth is a child who never saw its Father to rub its hand to the mouth and it will go away.
    Sty.
    A cure for a sty on your eye is to point goose berry thorns to it nine times. House lick is a plant that grows on walls if you boil the plant and wash the eye with the juice the sore eye will get better.
    Sprain.
    A cure for a sprain is to wash it before a running stream three times.
    Wild-fire.
    A cure for wild-fire is to rub any piece of gold to the breaking out. Another cure for wild fire is to rub a pure black cat to it.
    Mumps. The cure for mumps is to walk in to a pigs sty nine times with a horse winkers on you and say mac-na muc-na leic-na leic-na muc-na muc-na leic-na leic-na.
    Measles.
    A cure for measles is to boil the roots of nettles
