  1. Travelling people do not call to houses now as frequently now as long ago . About once a year a man comes to my house selling all sorts of articles such as dusters, books, needles, pins and brushes.
    Long ago these travellers were very welcome as they used to bring news from distant parts and sometimes would take a message to a person far away. Most of the travellers go in caravans but now and again a man comes walking. One who was well known in this district was Bobby Grace. He lived in an old house in Freshford.
