    is very dark and there are roads in it going in different dirictions. It is said that there is a stream in it and whosoever crosses this stream, will never return, but I don't think anyone went as far as it.
    There is also a rath near Ballyragget called "Miss Maher's. One night a boy was passing and he saw a crowd of little people lurking. He got his hurley and began to play. The ball went into the rath and the boy followed it, and he was not seen for seven years after.
