    Peter Hughes of Tattenclave was a great basket=maker. He gathered sally rods and made baskets of them.
    My grandfather was a shoemaker. He had to sew them with his hands. He could make a pair of shoes in two days. They would last longer than the shoes now.

  2. Willy Small, Rockcorry used to make creels and baskets out of sally. Everybody made candles out of rosin. The graips, spades and shovels were made in foundries. There was one in Baileborough. Every family
