- There was supposed to be a holy well in the townland of Loist. This well was down on low ground on a meadow. This well was in Micky Smith's farm. A long time ago people used to go to that well. They don't go to it now because no one had any belief in it and in that way it went down.
- There was a holy well in Stranooden in Clerkin's field. People went to it every year. It cured people that had pains. It was in the field beside the road. The(continues on next page)
