  1. There is a field in our land and long ago there was a limekiln in it and there was a row of bricks built round it. The fairies used to gather round and have a big fire. They used to light their clay pipes and smoke them. When they were finished they threw their pipes down. It is said if that field was ploughed the farmer should be able to see some of their pipes to this day.
