    about fairies: -
An old woman lived in Mullyash townland. Her name was Mrs. Barbour. She was able to turn herself into a hare and she would go into a neighbour's byre and take the good of the cows.
An neighbours who lived in the townland of Tomacrow prepared to watch for her.
He came on her in the form of a hare taking the good of his cows in the byre.
He had a gun with him loaded with silver and he shot her (the hare) in the thigh just as she was running out of the door.
She disappeared then and this man went to her house and found her in true form sitting by the fire.
He pulled her shirt aside and saw plainly the gun shot wound in her leg with the fresh blood running out of it
