    An old woman used to come to Castleblayney every year to buy a twig,
    The twig lasted her one year
    This day she came to the shop keeper and asked him for a twig, She looked at it and said she would take this particular one.
    She asked the price of it, On being told she said "Oh; that is more than you charged me the last year, for the same twig"
    "But you must know" said the shop-keeper that there is a war on now and that is why it is dearer than the last year".
    "Oh" said the woman "And are they fighting with twigs?"
