    This song was composed by John Murray a native of Annyalla, Castleblayney, who went to Glascow. It was written to a friend on a postcard picture of Annyalla old Catholic Church.
    When on this card you fix your eyes
    This ancient church you'll recognise;
    So picturesque - of plain design
    Tis pictured in this heart of mine.
    On Sunday morn to it I strayed,
    Within in its walls with fervour prayed
    Midst many friends and neighbours too;
    To all of whom I bid adieu.
    Before its altar my parents stood
    With hand in hand - they vowed they would
    To one another their hearts bestow;
    Now, in their graves they're lying low.
    No Sunday morn would they let pass
