  1. The landlord who ruled this estate long ago was Lord Hope. He lived in Merrion Square in Dublin. The people considered him a very bad landlord, because he made them pay very high rents.
    Each landlord got five or six districts to rule over. Some of them got more districts than others, and each landlord's division was called an estate. Our landlord ruled over six town-lands: namely, Annaglaive, Tatygar, Corvoo, Kinigan, Knockagolis and Cavana-guilla.
