    This school is called Carhooreigh. Carhooreigh means the brown marshy, division of land.
    Killeen means : A little Church.
    Dromduhig means : the back of the ridge.
    Aughlee means : the field sloped to the south.
    Boitirin Ná Marbh is so called because long ago funerals leading to Aghadoe graveyard used come by that road.
    Coolgarrive means : a rough corner.
    Curragh means : wet marshy land.
    Cahir means : A fort.
    Páirch an Mhóin Fhéir means - the field of the meadow.
    Knockasartnett means : Hartnetts hill.
