    A local cure for thrush was to leave the gander inside at night so that he would be fasting, and in the morning to put his bill into the mouth of the patient suffering from thrush, and it would cure it.
    The leavings of ferrets was a cure for chincough. For warts, it was said if a raw potato was rubbed to the wart every morning for nine mornings when the person would be fasting that it would cure them. When a person would have a toothache, they used grind a live frog's leg when the toothache would then disappear.
