    The following was supposed to have been composed by Jim Lucy of Claddagh long ago on the occasion of a marriage feast.
    I
    One morning as Foebes shone with brilliant skies an spéir in
    Near Kanturk we were stationed
    All at a marriage feast
    There was plenty entertainment
    To accomodate a stranger
    And sure there all the neighbours
    were guilded on the scene.
