  1. Local Cures
    Tooothache.
    When people used have toothaches long ago they used not think of pulling them. They used give the sore tooth a wash of alumh, and it would be cured at once.
    The whooping cough was cured by drinking sugar and water and also by drinking egg wine. To put the child that had it under and over a mare horse nine
    times. Two would stand, one on each side and hand the child to one another.
    Sore eyes.
    They cured sore eyes by washing them with black tea that would be sold. If you rubbed your fasting spit it would cure them.
